How is your puppy allocated?

Our Process

We allocate puppies to families based on a combination of factors including your preferences stated on your application and your order on our waitlist. Personality and temperament fit does take priority. We look at your family situation and lifestyle to make the best possible fit for you. We ask for your trust that we will make the best decision for you based on the time we spend socializing, caring for and getting to really know your future puppy.

All puppies have their unique personalities and as a breeder we can start to observe and make notes at an early age until puppies are ready to go home. As puppies develop, they change from day to day. Personalities and temperaments are not set in stone at birth but develop from experience, socialization and consequences of learning. Personality tests are not perfect but give some indication for energy level, social skills, sounds sensitivity, fearfulness, aggression, reactivity and much more. There is no perfect pup for everyone as each and every one of us has different idea of what perfect pup should be like.

We include the Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises, which are conducted once daily from the 3rd to the 16th day, a period believed to be a time of rapid neurological growth and development. Even though puppies are very immature during this time frame, they are sensitive and respond to ENS.

The US Military developed this method designed to improve the performance of future military working dogs, according to the Breeding Better Dogs program developed by Dr. Carmen Battaglia, esteemed breeder, judge, seminar presenter, and AKC board member.

ENS requires handling the puppies daily one at a time while performing a series of five exercises. Listed in order of preference, the handler starts with one pup and stimulates it using each of the five exercises. The handler completes the series from beginning to end before starting with the next pup.
